Hi Angela that sounds great and so glad your nephew is doing so well. It's amazing how well they do when so small.

The move was very stressful with the company and somehow our cooker and washer got cancelled and no one seems to know how it's happened. It's worked out okay as there was actually a cooker in here so we're just keeping that and saved us some money. Has been a little upsetting to leave all the baby's stuff boxed up too but other then that everything has gone smoothly.

How are you doing and how is everyone else?

Settledgirl how did your job interview go and are you back into fully ttc now?

Have you got much decorating to do? Much left to unpack and to buy? Will you have any more baby scans?

Our house in some rooms is quite a mess. My husband is stripping the old wallpaper from our bedroom and nursery as we got decorators to come in on tuesday. We also are getting our new sofas delivered tomorrow. We got quotes for windows and new doors too. Luckily we just need to change some double glazed units and the frames are still good. So that will cost less than expected. We need to also order new carpets for our room and nursery, need blinds for our room and book carpet cleaner for the other rooms as they are not the cleanest lol.

We're not doing much decorating at the minute. We're just papering one wall in living room as we already had the wallpaper and the rest is all neutral colours at the minute so we're just going to to get pictures up in other rooms. We're not doing any of the baby's room at all until we are told he can come home as it will just be upsetting if we don't get there.
We don't have much to get just little decorative bits and a dining set.

I know the feeling of things not being clean the cooker that was already in here was really disgusting I've had to scrub it. I hope everything falls into place for you and glad that youvs been under budget on some of your things.

I forgot to say after our appointment last week, they found an additional problem with his heart. We have gone from a natural birth and transfer to different hospital a few hours later, to having a planned Csection in the second hospital and Leo will go straight into the theatre next door to fix one of his vessels, as it can't wait the 7 days for his other surgery. We have to hope that the section goes smoothly as the hospital it will be at doesn't have a maternity ward so they are just going to organise for me to have regular checks but if there is any extra care needed I have to get transfered hospital. Our next scan and consultant is 16ths May, we are also going for a tour of hospital we will be at on the same day so we can get extra information and meet the staff. After that we will have regular scans to check his growth so that they can get everything booked in at the best time possible as the bigger he is the better.

Hi Ladies,
It's been awhile since I have been on here... my TTC journey has been long and still have not yet been pregnant. We have unexplained fertility and will start IVF next cycle. I'm a little nervous..
Congratulations to those who have gotten  pregnant.

Thank you Angela.

Chantelle don't be scared of your Ivf journey. There are lots of great support groups on Facebook and I had ivf to have our little miracle. Honestly it's no where near as bad as you think, some of it is emotional hard such as tww and if you have complications like my cycle nearly got cancelled half way through. But I would go through it all again in a heart beat. Just relax and listen to your body if it's tired, take a nap if you want to cry, cry and if you really want to have a junk and TV day then do it. Here if you want to ask any questions

Hey,

We are on month 8 of TTC, so many of our friends are pregnant and it's really getting me down. I've decided to not think about it and hope that our time will come soon. Baby dust to you all xx

Thank you Ang and Ria. I'm trying not be scared.. I find my main issue is accepting that we need assistance with falling pregnant. Especially when they cannot find reasons as to why is does not happen naturally. Both my husband and I are not happy that we have to go down this path. I also don't like that I have "pay" to have a child when so many other people can have them for free... even those who do not deserve children.
Going through IVF also only slightly increases our chances as well, so sometimes we think is it really worth it..
It has been a hard journey especially everyone around seems to have had kids and now pregnant with their second.
It's frustrating when people tell us we are still young and have plenty of time.. I want to have kids at a younger age beacuse I want to be able to do things with them that I may not do if we were older.. we also plan on having more than 1...
Sorry for the rant... but I've been hurting and I feel like I have no one that understands what I am going through. Even my husband... he isnt the one having to go through these injections, egg retrieval process... men have it so easy... p0

Chantelle, I completely get it we were unexplained. I have pcos and tilted uterous but neither should of stopped me falling as I ovulated on my own. We had ours on NHS so I only ever had to pay for prescriptions so I was lucky in that sense. I completely get that your partner seems like he doesn't get it but believe me he's just buried it. I was okay with accepting the Ivf as I was at a point where it had been over 3 years and I didn't care how I got my baby as long as I could have one. The process isn't too bad, I had menopur Injections, the only side effect I got from them is bloating and the actually helped me to sleep. I then had cetrotide (probably spelt wrong) that one goes red and very itchy after injection but I had mine of a night time so didn't bother me as I went to sleep after. The trigger gave me very very sore boobs where it hurt even putting a bra on or if anything brushed past but only lasted 3 days. For me egg collection was fine, my clinic sedate for it and I just chatted to the nurse but we only got 4 eggs so I wasn't in too long and didn't over stimulate. Transfer was the worst part for me as with having a tilted uterous it did hurt but most people say it doesn't bother them. It worked for us on our first time and another thing I would suggest is ask to not be told grading of embryos. We didn't know ours but I see a lot of people on support groups worried if they don't have to grade but it really doesn't matter. Oh and remember while stimming to eat plenty of protein, drink plenty of water and hot water bottle on whenever you can to help growth. If they mention your lining being really thin at egg collection then drink pomegranate juice to help thicken it. And good luck, try and enjoy it as much as you can because before you know it you could be pregnant.

SMcD I agree with what your saying I was always told till you hit the year mark try not to think about it which I know is hard. For me our best friends started trying a few weeks after us and got pregnant their first month. The first year was then the hardest as I watched her go through her pregnancy after that I found other things to focus on like getting a better job and going to uni. Just keep yourself busy and you will get there

Chantelle, it will totally be worth it. I haven’t been in position where we can’t conceive but i have lost 2 pregnancies with one of them being very complicated and it still has taken ages to get to this point. And I would of done anything to have a baby. It is normal to be scared and have down days but all this journey no matter how hard it is it will all be worth it!

Just popping in to update you ladies, we did not conceive last cycle. This past monday was follicle check day for this cycle, and I have one big one again! I have a lot of stress going on at home/work, so I’m thinking we might not succeed this time. If we don‘t we‘re for sure going on to fertility specialist for further testing.

I read a lots been going on for you ladies! You guys are in my thoughts and I’m sending tons of positive good vibes!
Signiture too small!

How are you ladies doing?

Had my 20w scan today. Measuring within dates and she couldn’t see anything wrong. Baby seems to be all healthy and good. The only thing is i got anterior placenta but i have been feeling movements every day they just aren’t consistent. And it will take a while for my husband to feel them. Also i managed to catch a cold. Quite pathetic really as it’s not the worst i had but still staying at home trying to get better as i don’t want it to get worse!

Hey Angela. Glad to here your scan went well. I've had 2 days of not much movement because the little man changed his position but he managed to move again last night and then kicks went back to normal. It does get worrying when movements aren't as normal. Hope your cold passes soon to we've been struck with if it too but mines just mild my OH is really suffering.
