I went through that. By far the worst pregnancy symptom ever. I was in tears over them because I was in so much pain at one point.
I honestly caught on to a lot of tricks pretty quick... I would "wage war" on them when they got bad and would take about theee days for the situation to improve.

Try Tucks pads - or if you don't want to spend the money it's basically just a moist towelette soaked in witch hazel.
Bathe often (or a sitz bath) with Epsom salts.
Get a gel from the pharmacy to shrink them.
Good luck! This was the hardest part of pregnancy for me. I hope it gets better for you.

When I was about 33 weeks pregnant with my daughter I had them really bad to the point I would puke from the pain. I was taking iron supplements for my anemia. What helped me was I would soak in an Epsom salt bath a few times a day. I used tucks and hemorrhoid gel. It took about a week to go away. Also make sure you stay hydrated and try and drink miralax. Miralax is safe to take while pregnant I talked to my OB about it. Hope it clears up for you.
