Hey, not sure how this will come across. I’m 20 years old, and I don’t have experience with kids at all, as in there are no younger kids in my family that I’m close to, never had to babysit etc. I have no idea how to talk to kids or anything!! My boyfriend is amazing with children and he has two young nieces who I haven’t met yet, but I’m worried that when I do I will end up speaking to them like a pet or something, I honestly have no clue how to interact with them! I know that when I’m older and have kids, I won’t be one of those people who being a mother comes naturally to. I don’t really have a question but I guess if anybody has some advice I would really appreciate it!

Kids are humans. Treat them like you would an adult, but choose words and topics they would understand.
Always glad to help!
