Periods after implant
« on: April 01, 2019, 02:21:18 AM »
Hi, can you tell me how long it took for your periods to become regular again after having an implant taken out?

When I had the implant in I only bled every 3 months for a whole month on and off.

I’ve had my implant out and then I started a very light period a week after. But had just bled the week before taking it out.

Any advice?
Not sure when to start testing for my ovulation?

It’s difficult to tell as everyone is different. That first bleed you got was a withdrawal bleed, so now you need to wait to get your 1st period....once you’ve had that you can try tracking, but it’s pretty normal to take up to a year for periods to become regular again. That’s not to say yours won’t come back regular sooner or that you won’t get pregnant in that first year.
