Late period— Really confused

So I went from no exercise to going to the gym 3-5 times a week for 30-50 mins a day. My period has never been late or off what this apps predictions are so I’m a bit concerned that I’m 3 days late. I took a pregnancy test and it’s negative, so I’m going to wait a week and try again. Any advice on why it’s so late? Is my level of exercise unhealthy and causing my hormones to be in a mess? (I’ve also never had unprotected sex and I’m not on birth control)
