After birth
« on: April 08, 2019, 04:15:59 PM »
I gave birth to my gorgeous son 3 months ago. I’ve had two regular periods since. But I still feel pressure pushing down on my vagina & rectum areas like there is a head about to be delivered all over again. Especially when I’m on my period, using the toilet or when I’ve just sat down abruptly on the sofa. My doctor has recommended pelvic floor exercises & suggests it’s normal. She also mentioned about a prolapse. Does or has anyone else experience this feeling & how long did it take to go?

Yes this can be normal.....I felt like my insides were going to fall out for months after the birth of my son.....he was quite a big baby (9.3) regular pelvic floor exercises did help....just keep going with them. I had my son more than 16 years ago & when I’m on my period at times it still feels like everything is going to fall out....so wouldn’t be able to say if that’s normal or not.....only that it never has!
