Irregular periods
« on: May 15, 2019, 06:33:31 PM »
Hi everyone. So I’m 19 years old, I weigh about 103 pounds (yeah I know, under weight :( I just can’t seem to really get that weight up). I know that having irregular periods has a factor in affecting your cycle, but I am still a little scared if I could get pregnant? My boyfriend and I are sexually active, but we do it like once a week with proper use of condoms. However, the past two periods, they became “regular” and this app was correct in predicting my period. But now it says 15 days late, and I haven’t gotten my period yet. My boobs feel a little sore too and I don’t see any discharge (I get some when my period is close) helpppp thank you :(

Condoms are 98% effective when used correctly every time, but still means there is a small possibility you could become pregnant using this kind of protection, just like any kind of contraception, nothing is 100%.
I would not to rely on the app, as it is only a prediction and especially if you’ve been using a short period of time as it predicts using patterns, as you said your cycle is irregular so it likely hasn’t picked up a good enough pattern to make an accurate prediction of when your next period would be due.

If you are concerned you may be pregnant, the only thing you can do to find out right now is take a test, it’s best to do it as soon as possible to know for sure.
If the test is negative you can always discuss your irregular periods with your doctor. If you are it’s best to find out as soon as possible so you have time to think about all your options carefully, whether that’s wanting to have the baby or not.

Goodluck, I hope this was helpful x
