28 weeks! Doesn’t time fly?!

Evie is amazing. Such a calm and happy baby. Full of smiles and trying to laugh too. Her weight gain is a lot better and we are down to 5 expressed milk bottles a day and the rest is breast. Still using shields though but since she is gaining i am not too bothered.

I am sure you will be fine as you would have signs if you weren’t. In UK they don’t test everyone for it. I never had any signs and my urine was always clear so i was never tested for it. And I ate a lot of sweets!

Fingers crossed Knzault!

Nikkilou, where you showing signs for GD? I never had glucose test during my pregnancy.

Evie is doing a lot better at gaining weight. I am also managing to latch her on my right breast without shield a lot more often. Still struggling with left side but she has made such a progress already :-) also she has started to do responsive smiling, it’s so cute!

Well done on starting masters Ria!

Evie’s weight gain has been very slow but it seemed to turn around the corner with last weighing. We are still using nipple shields which is not great however she managed to latch without them couple of times today.

Knzault any news? Hope sll is well Nikkilou.

We are food Nikkilou, thank you, tired but good. Feeding seems to be improving and I am hoping to drop off top ups very soon and have her exclusively on the breast.

We bought first item for Evie when we had good 13w scan. Then when I was 16w there happened to be a baby show on and since they had deals on and everything in one place we went there and bought some big items. I probably would of bought big stuff later but couldn’t pass opportunity. And then was buying stuff as and when. I would start watching out for things you want and for the best price as babies cost a fortune!

How many weeks are you now? Movements can be very irregular until 28weeks. Even though i first felt Evie at 15w i only started to feel her move every day but not a lot from about 20weeks.

Evie was wayyyy too sleepy. She wouldn’t wake up at all to feed. We have to be very cruel to wake her up, then feed from breast on which she falls asleep too quick and then we top her up with my expressed milk via bottle. Now thatbwe have been doing that it is easier to wake her up. Once she is fully established we are hoping we won’t need to give her top ups from bottle and just stick with the breast.

I have tried to upload a picture but it comes up with an error. We have been having some unexpected challenges with feeding but after getting extra help and support things start to improve. Other than that everything is great!

How are you Nikkilou? How is baby Berk Missdyan?

Ria, I think a lot about you. Xx

We are not really having any visitors in the first week only midwife. Other people are welcome after my milk comes in and we get some sort of hang on breastfeeding! And yes, we know about weight loss etc :-)

Our baby girl was born yesterday on 26th august ( 5 days before her due date and 1 day before her scheduled induction). Her name is Evelyn Livia, Evie for short and weighed 2.94kg so a lot smaller than expected! The birth was exactly how we wanted - both me and my husband in the pool however turns out i am a massive screamer. The labour was intense - latent labour was very long and with irregular but very very strong cramps and the active labour was too quick and intense as i went from 4cm to 10cm in less than 2 hours. All worth it though. We are absolutely in love with our little rainbow.

Yes still pregnant. Had a sweep today. Also my bloods came back with low platelets so can’t have birth in midwife led unit anymore but I still have a chance at waterbirth.
