Thank you for replying girls. I have started to track my BBT temperature this morning and if I have no luck in getting pregnant this month I will start ovulation kits next month. I will have a look for different brand of vitamins.

Always been worried to get pregnant by accident but almost wish it was unplanned now as wouldn't neet to worry about all this waiting haha

Dutchie, thanks for your reply. Ovia keeps pushing my fw later into the cycle which I find a bit confusing but at least it gives more days for BD haha. I used to have much clearer symptoms what I think was ovulation before, just never paid too much attention as wasn't TTC.

I have noticed that my CM has changed this month and I think it's due that I have been taking conception vitamins. Read online side effects any many women reported that those pushed their ovulation very late and CM was barely any existing. I have now stopped taking them to see if my cm improves and I also think this is why I had problems with acne now.

I had slight pain on both sides of my ovaries yesterday (tuesday night) and very mild cramping like I would be on my period - ovulation I guess? However, this month I haven't had my ewcm - can you still conceive if it's been dry down there?

Hi Cazz. I was in similar situation like you last month but AF showed up 5 days late. Try to relax and give it few more days. Hopefully your HCG levels are too low to show on tests yet. If AF is late 2 weeks, I would then make apoointment with a doctor.

If you type TTC glossary in google, it will come up with multiple links where you can find explanations to all the acronyms :-)

Sorry to hear that AF showed Wifelife.

Question for thos who use Ovia app - my app last few days keeps changing the fertility days and score everyday, anyone else has had this and knows why is it like that?

I copied this over from an article in ovia app:

One of the more popular theories in sex selection, the Shettles Method theorizes that X and Y chromosome carrying sperm have different properties. Y chromosome carrying sperm is considered to be smaller and faster than its X chromosome carrying counterpart. While quicker, Y-carrying sperm is much less resilient to the acidic secretions of the vagina and will die off much quicker. If attempting to have a boy through the shuttles method, intercourse should coincide with the beginning of ovulation. Additionally, rear entry lovemaking is recommended as penetration is deeper and deposits sperm closer to the cervix and avoiding the acidic vagina. If the female has an orgasm, cervical alkalinity is increased as well as the likelihood of the Y chromosome sperm surviving.

On the contrary, if a girl is desired the couple should plan intercourse no later than two days before ovulation begins. This is to allow the less resilient Y-carrying sperm to die off and the tougher X-carrying sperm to reach the egg by the time it ripens. Frontal and less deep penetration such as the missionary position is recommended to expose sperm to the more acidic part of the vagina. Female orgasm should not occur until after the male has ejaculated in order to reduce alkalinity.

Charlie, I read about it on the Ovia app!

I have read that having intercourse right during ovulation increases chances of concieving a boy. Also if man comes after female orgasms as orgasm apparently makes it more acidic area in which swimmers that carry boys chromosome have better chances surviving than the ones that carry female chromosome. Not so sure how correct this is though.

I know what you mean, obviously it happens when it's meant to be! A year ago I didn't even think we will ever have children and if we did then it would be like 7 years later.
I never had problems with acne just odd spot around AF time then lately it become more intense but again around AF time but today it just has been horrible out of nowhere!

Congratulations on your wedding :-)
We started TTC just before mid July so this is the second month! I am hoping for a summer baby (so still have some time) as my hubby is a teacher and would be nice to have some longer time off together in the summer with a little baby :-)
I have always been regular with my period regardless was I on the pill or not but first month trying it went completely off!
I have had a massive acne breakout this morning, not sure if this is a symptom for anything at all. Has anyone else had acne breakout around ovulation time?

Missdyan, thanks for your reply! I think it's probably a bit too late in the cycle to start tracking it down but if this month we are not successful, I am thinking to get ovulation kits and track tempretature next month. Because we are new to this, think I just need to stop putting so much pressure on myself.
Are you late for your AF? Have you done any more tests?

Congratulations on your baby girl Mrs S!

Wifelife, I am glad that appointment went well!

As for me, according to this app and ovia, i am in my fertile window. I don't know if I have ovulated yet or when will I. My cm doesn't really give me any indication of whats happening. I felt quite positive about this month at first but now I think we started BD a bit too late to cover all the basis and probably not enough so don't feel so positive anymore!

Missdyan, in my opinion as long you haven't got AF and you have even a faint line, it's still positive. Have you tried different brand? I wouldn't lose hope just yet!
