Thank you guys. I have had a relaxed day today as I rang in sick to work with being up most of the night. Not had as many pains today but have also just had a nap and had a few twinges when I woke so hoping it means baby is still doing okay.

Missdyan I don’t think there is much point in paying for an early scan as they wouldn’t give me one till I’m 6 weeks and I have one at 7 weeks anyway. Plus as some say if you go around 6 weeks sometimes you can’t hear the heartbeat yet so I would then be worried and scared till my next one.

I know in my head things are fine I think it’s just nerves after such a long journey to get here. But we see the midwife in the morning so hoping she will be nice and reassure me about everything. I have just seen that I’m not allowed pate it’s my favourite thing as a starter on Christmas... I never realised there is so much you shouldn’t have when pregnant like using long life milk then normal.

Hiya I’m in the same boat! My AF is due in 5 days and I’m wishing the time away! I did one of the early tests a couple of days ago which was negative. I’m hoping this is because it was too early! It’s so easy to become obsessive, I told myself I wouldn’t be that person. I had my iud our last month so that could take a while for hormones to regulate! Fingers crossed for you, I’m not sure when you were expecting yours as you posted that a couple of weeks ago! x

Hi there Ría. If you can schedule a private scan and see for yourself everything is fine. Cramps and sharp pain are normal during this stage, I would say bleeding and sharp back pains are the scary ones.

The tingles in your uterus mean baby is doing fine and your uterus is growing.

Drink lots of water! Have a healthy diet and listen to your body. If you need a rest, take a break, if you feel energized walk a bit.

I’m 3 days from getting my period and this time I don’t feel well. I’m tired, my breast are so sore I’m very nauseous. Little things I do around the home makes me feel weak ?

I feel you!
Well although I had a "first time" I was pressured for about a year by my former partner, until I gave up waiting to feel ready and decided to do it to shut him up, claiming to myself that I was ready. It was an awful decision, obviously!
With this I want to say, even if I cannot provide a helpful first time story (mine was definitely not a "normal" one and I don't want to tell you about it and give you wrong ideas). I want to reassure you to never feel pressured to do it. Now, in my early twenties and with another partner (we've been together for almost 2 years) I have no pressure of doing that, ans I still don't feel ready (the same fears you have, plus I'm not economically ready, if an accident happened, to have a baby). I'm also catholic, and was raised very religiously so I have all those desires of waiting for the right man, maybe waiting until marriage, guilt, etc...
my advice is to keep waiting until you feel ready, I'm glad you have an understanding partner. and PS: cum is kinda disgusting! Hahhaaha

You can get growing pains so early. Also if you were gonna have period now too it could also give cramping. I really don’t think it’s stress. Stress would give you pain in the neck or headache but not in your uterus. And yes, i was very thirsty with both of my pregnancies.
